Exciting Lineup Announced for the All-Star Futures Game

The National League has revealed its roster for the upcoming All-Star Futures Game, and it promises to be an exciting showdown between some of the top prospects in Major League Baseball. Among the notable players selected are Washington’s Dylan Crews and Arizona’s Druw Jones, who were the second overall picks in the 2023 and 2022 drafts, respectively.

In addition to Crews and Jones, the rosters feature a dozen former first-round selections from both the National League and American League. Players like Max Clark, the Detroit Tigers’ third pick in last year’s draft, will be showcasing their talents in the highly anticipated game.

Adding to the excitement are the two former Texas Rangers stars who will be serving as managers for the game. Adrian Beltre, a four-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer, will lead the American League Futures team, while Michael Young, a seven-time All-Star and former batting champion, will manage the National League squad.

The All-Star Futures Game, which features top minor league prospects, will follow a National League vs. American League format introduced in 2019. The 27 players on each team were selected by a panel consisting of Major League Baseball, the MLB Pipeline, Baseball America, and the 30 Major League Clubs. With players representing every Major League organization and eligibility for players from all player development leagues, the game promises to showcase the best upcoming talent in the sport.

With the game set to take place on July 13 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, baseball fans can look forward to an action-packed event. Featuring a hitting contest and followed by the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, the All-Star Futures Game is a must-watch for those eager to catch a glimpse of the next generation of baseball stars.

The All-Star Futures Game promises to be a thrilling event with a lineup filled with top prospects, former first-round picks, and legendary former players turned managers. As the game approaches, anticipation is building among baseball enthusiasts eager to witness the future of the sport in action.
